Share dashboards and embed panels

Why

Sooner or later someone outside your org needs to see the data: an investor watching a test, a customer checking a pilot, a supplier looking at a failed part. Screenshots go stale. Adding them as members is too much. A link is the smallest thing that works.

How it works

Open a dashboard and click Share. Create a link and copy it. Anyone who opens it sees the same panels, reading the same data, without signing in.

Viewers can pan and zoom to look at a different time window. They can't edit the dashboard or reach anything else in your org.

Using it

Under Advanced options, turn on password protection if the link will travel further than you'd like. Each link shows how many times it has been viewed. Revoke a link and it stops working. You can keep several links on one dashboard, one per audience, and revoke each on its own.

To point someone at a specific moment, add t and window to the link, for example ?t=2026-06-10T14:02:00Z&window=10m. The dashboard opens centered on that moment.

Limits

Share links are part of the Founding 50.

How it works

First, verify the domain your app runs on. In Settings, under Embedded panels, add the origin, for example https://app.example.com. Plexus gives you a TXT record to publish. Publish it, click Verify, and Plexus checks DNS for a matching token.

Then open a panel's editor and choose Embed this panel. Click Publish embed and Plexus gives you an iframe snippet with a token in the URL. Paste it into your page.

What your customers get

The embed draws the panel with the same chart code as Plexus. Viewers can hover for values, scroll or shift-drag to zoom, and double-click to reset. Zooming fetches that time window at full detail. Nobody needs a Plexus login.

The embed mirrors the panel live. If you change the panel's metrics or chart type, the embed changes too. If you delete the panel, the embed stops. To keep embeds stable, keep them on a dashboard you reserve for embeds.

Limits

Each token is read-only and shows one panel. The embed page can only be framed by your verified domains, and data requests from any other site are refused. Revoke an embed and the token stops working immediately.

Line, area, bar, scatter and stat panels can be embedded. Embeds are part of the Founding 50.
